Born and raised in Kinshasa, Congo, JEY BROWNIE cites the likes of Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, and Young Thug as his biggest inspirations. Kickstarting his musical career by releasing the singles ‘peu de love’ and ‘Hennessy’ in 2019, the now Paris-based artist has become known for his unique blend of trap, R&B, and many other genres. In 2022, he dropped ‘EXORDE’, his debut full length album that was produced by FLEM KGB. More recently, in his latest project, ‘Faits divers’ (2023), Jey showcased his exceptional vocal range against soundscapes referencing both Congolese rumba and pop.
